Unlike many, I’m in mourning of another summer coming to an end. Don’t get me wrong, excessive heat and humidity is not comfortable at all but nothing gets me as excited as endless sunshine, the beach, and no sleeves. As an ode to the end of summer here’s my final summer outfit. A Queens kid at heart, I find rare occasions to leave NYC’s largest borough so I hung back – along with my makeshift photographer boyfriend, Michael – at Astoria Park to catch the sunset. The summer outfit motto this year has basically been to live in Levi’s and I’ve dutifully complied. They’re definitely a statement to wear, so I kept everything else pretty simple (additionally it was 90 degrees with corresponding humidity – NOT elaboration weather).
What I wore:
Top: Zara sale item, similar here.
Jeans: The Vintage Twin pop-up shop, similar here.
Shoes: Zara thrifted from Poshmark, similar here.
Choker: C. Wonder closeout sale item, similar here.
It’s not that I don’t dislike fall – the crisp in the air just calls for chunky sweaters – it’s that it signals winter is coming. There’s no possible way to prep for the colder weather months except for piling on clothing, so I guess that’s blog worthy content (hah!).
Hope everyone enjoyed their summer!
