Queens is the borough I call home – the largest borough in NYC, and perhaps the most diverse area in the world – there’s so much to offer here! If you don’t believe me, Lonely Planet rated Queens, NY the #1 place to visit in the US last year. If you don’t think the trip out of Manhattan or Brooklyn is worth it, let me indulge you in 4 amazing, and totally “grammable”, cafés I frequent.
Presso Coffee (Flushing): My not-so-secret favorite and hidden on a quiet street, I love getting my matcha fix here! They also do really cute latte art and have this fantastically colorful wall that’s worth the trek out here.
Red Pipe Café (Forest Hills): A small, cozy coffee shop on Austin Street, if you prefer organic go here. I especially like their sandwiches – my favorite is the Greenway Guacamole.
Martha’s Bakery (Three Locations): I can’t help but indulge in virtually any dessert here – they’re all so good. Coffees are also brewed to perfection, with some unique flavors like the Red Velvet Latte (yum!). Martha’s, once a Queens-only staple, is opening a store in Brooklyn soon!
Sweetleaf (Long Island City – Two Locations): Everything here screams “hipster” but the coffee is well worth the wait. Sweetleaf really brings some caffeine cred to Queens, though they also have 1 extra location in Williamsburg.
There you have it! Let me know your café recommendations across NYC!
