I won’t lie… being a fashion/style blogger during the winter SUCKS. I’m freezing literally every weekend when I take outfit photos until I pull on my puffer coat. Sure, they may not be the cutest outerwear out there but they are totally necessary in sub-freezing temperatures. Like most of my clothing, I prefer a high quality coat that doesn’t break the bank. After 27 winters in NYC, I’m confident these brands will keep you warm!
Eddie Bauer
I still own an Eddie Bauer ankle length puffer coat that is my go-to during cold waves. I swear that this keeps my entire body warm.
Superdry
I’m wearing Superdry in this post, which I actually just recently purchased. I love the mid-thigh length because it’s casual and perfect to wear with tall boots. This has got to be the warmest coat I own below $200!
Abercrombie & Fitch
I was pleasantly surprised when I tried Abercrombie’s thin down jacket. It’s super warm, and perfect for my active ladies out there. I wear my short jacket to the gym.
Andrew Marc
Another pleasant surprise here. I first learned about Andrew Marc when I went to their massive annual sample sale. They usually have sales on their website to, so it’s pretty easy to find something warm at your budget.
The North Face
Slightly pricier but certainly worth it! When it comes to the cold, I’d rather sacrifice a few dollars to stay warm. The North Face has stylish options – I particularly like the down vest which would mix up a winter look.
Stay warm, friends!
