Having such fair skin, I was so excited to try out Bondi Sands self-tan products. I am all about skin protection as my fair skin entirely forgoes getting a natural tan and goes straight to a ruby red burn. Needless to say, I was very nervous to try at-home self tanning. I’ve heard the horror stories – stained clothing and sheets and a very obvious line of demarcation at the hands and feet. Not cute.
These products, by contrast, proved to be a delightful self-tanning experience! Bondi Sands offers a variety of products by formula and texture. Here are the ones I tried:
- Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam Light/Medium: A light foam that smells like coconuts, this provided subtle, yet buildable results.
- Bondi Sands Liquid Gold Dry Oil: I absolutely loved the dry oil! The best part about this oil is that you apply it on exfoliated and moisturized skin, spray on, and go! It did not transfer to my clothing and provided immediate results.
- Bondi Sands Self Tanning Mit: The perfect applicator for either products – foam or dry oil. The mitt leaves you with a streak-free tan.
While my results are subtle but as you can see below, I definitely have a summer glow, which I’ve never had before.

I’ve just started using Bondi Sands and I’m loving it too! I used the self tanning liquid in light/medium and I found a subtle summer glow as well π Oh and if you haven’t already tried – if you apply two coats within 30 mins or so of each other you can get a more noticeable tan π I hadn’t heard about the dry oil though – I so need to try it! Thanks for sharing π

I used to use self tanning creams, but I stopped because of the ‘side effects’ you mentioned. I definitely have to try this one. Thanks for sharing!
