It’s the official the first day of fall! This was by far one of my favorite shoots for my blog because my boyfriend, Michael, joined me for a his & hers fall look! He’s usually behind the camera, so we really had a blast setting up a tripod, a 10-second timer, and running and giggling between shots.
So what are these fall wardrobe staples anyway? These first few days of fall in NYC can vary widely in temperature, ranging from 60 degrees all the way up to 80. Clothing that feels light but still keeps you warm is a must. For him, I like the classics: a plaid shirt and dark khaki chinos. These items are timeless and so versatile. They work great for work, school, or even just hanging out casually. A large leather messenger bag and suede boots complete the timeless look.
As for me, I’m experimenting with trends like bell sleeve tops, a newsboy cap, and studded loafers. I’ve still got the basics in there – a long sleeve top, a warm hat, and denim that will take me all through fall. I’m almost always feeling cold so if it gets chilly, a leather jacket or a chunky knit is the perfect layering piece to keep me warm.
Who else is excited for fall? I can’t wait to go apple picking and bake pumpkin pies all season long!

Aww thanks girl!! He was hesitant at first but loved it, and I got to teach him a little bit about what it means to be in front of the camera (posing and such). All my prayers to you girlie 🙂
