When it comes to fall outfitting, it’s not just about the sweaters! Don’t get me wrong, my favorite part of fall is the coziness of sweater weather. It’s still important to transition the flirty details we dance around with in spring and summer alive though! This top by Parker is basically a mash-up of all those details: a choker neckline, ruffle sleeves, floral print, and one shoulder silhouette. I love that blouses lately are very intriguing – simplicity is out and complexity seems to be in! This hybrid top is the perfect look for a fun date – day or night. I find nothing else to be more romantic than the NYC skyline. Walking along Astoria Park in Queens, NY is a favorite for my boyfriend and me.
Blush remains a strong color trend and definitely contributes to the overall flintiness of an outfit. After all, blushing is key to this whole flirting thing, right?? I added in the only blush bag I own – the Amorous Satchel, a classic by Rebecca Minkoff. I honestly wanted to get one more wear before it’s retired for winter when I’ll start using deeper hues like emerald, navy, and burgundy.
In this look, I kept the rest of my outfit relatively simple for a casual look. Here I am wearing black, high rise skinny jeans by the Gap and thigh high boots from Zara. I don’t usually wear black jeans but in this case, they work perfectly with the blue neoprene-like fabric of these stretchy over-the-knee boots. For a date night, I would swap out the jeans for a leather mini skirt.
