2016… what a year! It was one for the books, making this New Year’s Eve/New Year extra special. So obviously, you have to have a fabulous NYE outfit to welcome 2017. I know most people go to the glitzy and shiny, but I’m not much of a sequins and sparkle girl. Not to mention with all my recent shopping (gifts, after Christmas sales) and saving for an upcoming trip (stay tuned!!) I’m actually not going to shop for a NYE outfit. So here they are, three awesome and fabulous options that you probably already have in your closet. And if you don’t I made sure to link up store with in-store pick up options (yep, on the same day!)
Disco Gal
faux fur, jumpsuit, a long necklace, and slingback shoes
A Little Grunge
illusion shirts, high waisted jeans, statement earrings, and a neutral shoe
Rock n’ Roll
white blazer, a crop top, dress pants, ear climbers, and strappy heels
And finally…
This year was especially tough for my family since my grandmother passed away earlier this month. The holidays are not always easy but it’s especially tough when dealing with loss. My grandmother was so special since my family would always get together at her apartment for all holidays, birthdays, and any other celebrations growing up so it’s weird spending this holiday without her. Not only did we have so many precious moments with her, I’d like to say I inherited my love of style from her. In fact, when I was born someone immediately said I looked just like her. My grandmother loved clothing – On Christmas she would do a little dance when getting clothing as a gift and during a New Year celebration she was known to change her outfit at least 3 times and always retouch her makeup. So to send off the year, I’d like to dedicate this in loving memory to Mamá.
