Valentine’s Day, but make it fashion. I’m not really into traditional pinks and reds when it comes to outfits on Valentine’s Day. Instead, I’m inspired by the themes of romance and love to create a sweet look that’s bold, sophisticated, and very stylish. I took to shopping on The RealReal when searching for my outfit, searching for texture, shine, and sustainability.
I fell in love with this duo by Reformation: a shiny, gold wrap top and high rise pants in deep purple. The pants really are a stunner: I enjoy the front zipper and velvet fabric that gives texture to the entire outfit. Let’s not forget that pants should not be taken for granted in cold NYC during February. I also really enjoy the texture in the gold top, which makes it appear almost like foil. A cropped top paired with high waisted pants is my favorite way to style a cropped top since it really accentuates a smaller waistline and feels soooo sophisticated. The look altogether is festive and works for a romantic dinner with bae or even a stylish Galentine’s with the girls!
PS- Pro tip for a wrap top is to always have an extra safety pin on you. Wrap tops are deceptive and leave you victim to a little peep show.
No, I’m not wearing pink or red, but I did include a little amor in the jewelry: a gorgeous rose-gold necklace by Capsul Jewelry. Not only does it make for a great accessory, but a fun little gift (below $100 too!)
