Layered Dress Outfit
When colder weather comes around, I always tend to put aside my dresses which I always miss. The ease of outfitting with dresses is what I most loved, plus since I’m a few pounds over my normal weight right now, my jeans are fitting quite snug. Luckily, I don’t have to say goodbye to dresses this fall. It’s all about layering when it comes to an otherwise warmer weather clothing item. I put together this layered dress outfit with a Heattech Uniqlo turtleneck shirt, an Etienne Aigner dress (a sample sale find for $40!!), and boots by Zara. I’ve heard rave reviews about Heattech items and how they are essentials for colder weather. I’ve found that the best way to wear Heattech is by layering. Wearing a dress over the top really did keep my upper body warm though I can’t say the same about my legs, lol!
Speaking of layers, accessories are basically the “layers” to your outfit – they support and complete your look. I kept the accessories warm here too – a beige beret and a fuzzy “doctor”-style bag. I’m a huge fan of saving money any way I can, and these were definite saves! I purchased the beret at ThredUp, and online consignment shop, for less than $20 and the bag was a recent sample sale find for just $30!! I’m pretty sure I’ll be wearing the beret all fall and winter long!
Below, I’ve linked some similar styles to everything I’m wearing. Since some of these items are sample sale finds, they are several years old or may be unavailable right now. (P.S. Stay tuned for a sample sale post soon!! I’ll share tips and some of my favorite items found!!)
