As someone in her late 20s, I’ve come to fully appreciate the magic that is sleeping. The energy boost, productivity, and creativity that a 7 hour night of sleep gives me is incredible! Lately, I’ve also attempted to make my sleep work overtime… in the beauty department. As you sleep, you can help to drastically change your appearance with all the right overnight beauty products.
Right after taking my PM shower and before getting to bed, I prep myself with a few awesome beauty products that’ll help me wake up radiant and looking refreshed.
Sleeping Mask
I’m so into using face masks, but I’ll often forget or won’t have time for a 30 minute process. That’s when I put the Belif Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask to work at night. Because I don’t like the stickiness, I apply a thin layer that dries quickly. It’s as easy as apply and sleep! Just make sure to wash it off in the morning to reveal your radiant skin.
Lash Serum
An alternative to castor oil is getting a proper lash serum. I’ve consistently used NeuLash and people are always asking me if I wear falsies (I don’t!)
Castor Oil
I absolutely love Briogeo hair products but also love that they came out with a line of wellness products! You may have seen my recent collab with them on Instagram, where I featured the B.Well Organic + Cold Press 100% Castor Oil and though that post was #sponsored I’m still using it! It’s great to moisturize brows and lashes, and I also use it on my cuticles overnight (I don’t mind the sticky, oily feeling while I sleep).
Eye Cream
Don’t go to bed without eye cream! The skin around the eyes is the most sensitive on the face and prone to wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and puffiness. Rather than just working on a blank canvas, treat yourself before going to bed. I’ve been using EVELOM Eye Cream lately and love the smooth texture.
Lanolin balm
For some reason, my lips are constantly dry no matter the season. To combat this, I wear Lanolips 101 Ointment. It’s a thick balm that truly locks in moisture. This was also my go-to during the frigid temperatures NYC has been experiencing lately.
Acne Patches
Lastly, when I feel a nasty pimple or hormonal acne start to come up, I pop in a Peter Thomas Roth Acne-Clear Invisible Dot. Although they can easily be worn during the day, I prefer wearing them at night so the dot doesn’t look funky with my makeup. Each little patch has tea tree oil – a powerful ingredient to treat acne!
