For a long time, buckets hat were a major fashion faux pas but like many other trends that have come, gone, and returned so has this controversial headwear. I’ll be honest – it’s a bold look for me and I’ve only actually worn mine (a black, patent bucket hat) on rainy days. Can I work up the courage to boldly wear bucket hats on the daily? Maybe.
I took a stab at the bucket hat trend with a faux patent leather hat. The style is now my new go-to for rainy days when it acts like a water repellent, and a weather appropriate way to wear a hat and not ruin my hair. During dryer weather conditions, I absolutely love the mixture of edgy (faux leather dress, belted with snake print) and girly (a vintage scarf i’ve had for years).
So far I’ve had my best luck at finding bucket hats in fast fashion retailers like ASOS, Urban Outfitters, and thrift and consignment stores like The RealReal. Oh yea, and where you can find literally anything and everything: Amazon.
